Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Darcy at 3 months old

Here he is relaxing on Joanna's porch in Longmont, after finishing his breakfast.

Darcy's favorite chew-toy is still the hardy pig ears...
he chews 2 a week 'til they disappear completely.
His scheduled feedings are 8 am, 1 pm & 6 pm. Our boys & I take turns feeding him daily.
Trevor takes Darcy for his morning runs & Ian does the late afternoon puppy zoomies.
Newell takes Darcy out for the late night outings before he stays in his kennel
ALL NIGHT LONG!

No accidents these last couple of weeks.
He even rang the bell on the door twice this week
to let us know that he needed to relieve himself.
Can I just say that we have the PERFECT PUPPY? Really!

He knows: outside, go potty, uh-uh (no), all done, let's go, sit, stay, drop it, leave it.
Now, he's learning "down" & "say hello".
Loose leash walking, WALKING, is challenging for him as he wants to explore the world
NOW & f-a-s-t. Swoosh!

On Father's Day, we decided to go up to Estes Park for the day. It was Darcy's first mountain hike with us. He did amazingly well... sniffing all the various scents up there!

Darcy's First BFF-Lazlo!

Mr. Darcy loves people... adults, children and even, strangers!
When it comes to other dogs,he's been unsure and hesitant or barking his head off.

Not when we had his first meet and greet w/ the Chase's Imperial Shih Tzu, Lazlo.

They ran in circles in the backyard, shared treats and water.
Darcy even enjoyed Mr. Chase's white socks as a chew toy.
Ahhh... a new "Best Friend Forever".

Mr. Darcy-our newest addition!

I can't believe it! We have our first family puppy...

Name: Darcy Falkinburg
Born: 3/22/2010 from a litter of 10.
Currently, 10 weeks & 4 days old...
He has 6 bros & 3 sisters.
His adoption date: 6/1/10 at 9:30 pm
Birthplace: Labradoodle Ranch, Parker, CO.
On this website... if you see a picture that reads, "Buddy"-this is him.
We loved his brother's name so much that we changed it from "Buddy" to "Darcy."

Breed: F1b English Goldendoodle
His mom: Chloe, small standard poodle
His dad: Moses, 1st generation English Goldendoodle from South Carolina. English Golden Retrievers are white/cream, instead of what we know in the U.S. as golden colored... brownish orange. No, he doesn't bark w/ a British accent. ;)
Color: light devonshire cream curly/wavy fleece-coat

I love the British name from Jane Austen's book Pride & Prejudice. Puppy visits are so welcomed! He's great with people of all ages... a 'lil scared of barking dogs. I still need to get his 2nd puppy shots... so no dog visits yet.

Call to hang out in our backyard together!
